Great episode, glad to have the show and your podcast back! Just wanted to put in a comment or two about some parts of the show. When the "cold virus slug" works it way out and is racing around, and they say it's all one cell. Well colds come from viruses, the Corona virus and the Rhinovirus in particular. Viruses aren't exactly cells, and the shape of both of those viruses are nothing like the slug either. Plus, the slug had spikes, and that would negate the one cell theory as well, since they'd have to be made out of different cells (since they aren't flagella or cilia, and viruses don't have those anyways). But that's just super nitpicky stuff that I noticed since I took a Microbiology class last semester :)

Also when Walter is trying to see what effect the decongestant has on the virus slug itself, well, it shouldn't be able to do anything. A decongestant would treat the symptoms caused by the virus, not the actual virus itself.

And one final thought - about the spinal tap. What if they were injecting something, rather than drawing out spinal fluid?

Looking forward to next week!
