I don’t know if anyone else addressed this, but the things that the shapeshifter shot into FauxLivia’s palms and lower back are harmonic resonators, the “tuning forks” that the Over There people use to open the doorway between universes. Walter mentions this when he sees a couple of them not far from the truck that Fauxlivia was put in when she was caught. He hits one against some metal, listens to it, and says something like “E-minor! Delightful!” Then he talks about how they remind him of the resonators that he and Bellie used to experiment with when sending things to the other universe. Thomas Jerome Newton used a trio of these resonators when he set things up so that Walternate could cross over and meet up with Peter in Northwest Passage.
Hello Robert. Good catch! I can’t believe I missed that! Now it makes sense…..in a FRiNGE kind of way.
